The club's first Tile Talk will be offered this coming Monday, January 20th, from 6:30-7:00 p.m.!
Local expert players Ed L and Tim will be offering an occasional series of short Scrabble lessons in the coming months, in which they will be leading discussions designed to improve your game! These Tile Talks will take place at our usual Wirz Park venue, right before the start of regular club sessions. (Attendance at the talks are optional, of course, and will have no bearing on the session to follow.)

Opening Racks
Every game begins with the first player drawing 7 tiles and deciding what to play. It sounds simple and straightforward. But you'd be surprised how much you can learn by a careful examination of opening rack strategies and ideas! In this lesson, we'll work our way through a series of opening racks, using it as a way to talk about play selection, rack management, leave evaluation, and other considerations.
In short, make plans to attend our first Tile Talk this Monday, January 20th! It will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and conclude by 7:00, after which our regular club session will begin.
