Happy Scrabble Day!

With our club having celebrated its 20th birthday just a few weeks ago, it seems especially appropriate that we now celebrate the birthday of the inventor of the game of Scrabble, Alfred Butts.

Alfred Butts was born on April 13, 1899, and he invented the game in the late 1930s (though it wasn't widely marketed and sold until the late 1940s). And now every April 13th we celebrate National Scrabble Day in his honor. Thanks, Alfred!
